Benedictine's online Health Administration MBA demonstrates how financial, operations, and marketing activities are applied to health organizations. A concentration in MBA Health Administration will prepare you to assume a leadership role in charge of a specific clinical department or as a generalist who manages an entire facility or system.
The Health Administration concentration requires three concentration-specific courses in addition to your foundation and managerial coursework for a total of 64 credit-hours:
- Public Health System: Study the history, basic structures and operations of public health and health care delivery systems
- Environmental Health: Examine the health implications of human relationships to the biosphere
- Marketing of Public Health: Learn concepts of marketing theory and the execution of marketing tactics as they apply to the health industry
- The Business of Healthcare: Covers government programs, managed care environment, and the administrative simplification transactions as enacted as part of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HiPAA).
